This role is part of Legal Entity Risk Management in J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg (JPMBL), which supports the firm's Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management operations in Europe. JPMBL's core business is Custody and Fund Services, Treasury Services and Private Bank services. The opportunity is to join Risk Management which is comprised of independent risk groups with accountability to JPMBL's Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The JPMBL CRO team is a group within the CIB risk organization, established to support the JPMBL CRO. The CRO Team works in close partnership with all lines of business, line of business aligned risk teams and functional areas to promote consistent risk management practices and ensure that JPMBL's risk profile is transparent to senior management, the JPMBL of Directors and regulators.
This role reports to the JPMBL CRO and will be instrumental in the local implementation of Risk Initiatives and the Legal Entity Risk agenda. The candidate will work closely with the broader CRO Team, and work with other teams including location Controls, Finance and Business Management, Technology and Audit.
Primary Job Responsibilities
§ Support the IFRS 9 Production in the Legal Entity
§ Report on IFRS 9 from a Risk Perspective, explain variances and key drivers of Loan Loss provisions
§ Interface with Finance on Loan Loss Provisioning in the Legal Entity
§ Support the input from risk stripe owners responsible for Capital Assessment, Recovery planning and ongoing Stress Testing.
§ Deliver and maintain robust documentation of all the required regulatory reports, including supporting information and maintain risk models in accordance with JPMC model policies and standards
§ Support Risk Management input and evaluations into New Business Initiatives
§ Respond to ad-hoc queries from senior management
§ Bachelor's degree, Masters/MBA a plus
§ Strong data analytics skills with attention to detail and the ability to aggregate data and identify root causes
§ Initial familiarity with Credit Risk measures and ideally Loan Loss provisioning
§ Initial relevant experience in Risk Management, preferably in a banking institution.
§ Initial familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Basel II and Basel III, CRD IV
§ Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with high degree of comfort communicating with management
